Announcements for the Week of 06/29/26

Join Us for Sunday Worship, July 5, at 10:00 AM

This Sunday, Mylene Foo will be preaching from John 20:1–18. The sermon title is Exhale: Beyond the Closed Story. We’ll journey with Mary Magdalene as the risen Christ gently opens a future she could not yet imagine. Where might God be inviting us beyond the stories we’ve settled into?

Stay for coffee after the service!

Last week, Pastor Al preached from Luke 10:38-42 “Admiring Mary: Spiritual Lessons from Martha’s Sister”

You can rehear the sermon using this link.

This week’s daily prayer for July 3 to July 9 is from Bibleversesandprayers.com.

Father, we lift up every immigrant who feels rejected or misunderstood.

Heal the pain of discrimination and rejection. Remind them that they are precious in your sight and that their lives have value and purpose.

Amen.

Invitation: Letting the Story of Christ Become More Lived In

Each week, before or after the Sunday sermon, we are invited to return to the Scripture passage in prayer. Linger with it. Wear it like a well-worn shirt, allowing the story of Christ to become woven into the fabric of our everyday lives through the practices of Breath Prayer, Lectio & Visio Divina, and Reflection Questions. May these simple practices help us encounter Christ more deeply as we remember the God who holds us and sends us.

InterVarsity Gutierrez-Graczaks “Expecting Something Life Changing!”

We are so excited to share that Amaya will have a baby brother coming at the end of 2026! As we have settled into San Francisco and have built support systems to help our family thrive, we wanted to grow our family, and it's happening! We have been dreaming about all the joy we will have as a family of four, and Amaya has been non-stop talking about all of the things she wants to do with her little brother! The pregnancy has been healthy so far, and we are praying that it will continue that way. Would you pray for us as we enter into this new season?
