Announcements for the Week of 07/13/26
Join Us for Sunday Worship, July 19, at 10:00 AM
We warmly welcome Dale Gish as he shares God’s Word with us from Luke 12:22–32. His sermon title is “Do not be afraid, little flock.”
Dale has been a longtime friend and partner of Grace Fellowship, walking alongside us through seasons of transition through his presence, spiritual direction, and guest preaching. We are grateful for his ministry and friendship.
Dale is a pastor, spiritual director, and founder of The Ignatian Center. He has a passion for helping people deepen their relationship with God through prayer and spiritual formation, and he has faithfully led Cana Ministries for many years.

One to One Prayer with an Elder, Sunday, July 19
God desires to be in conversation with us – to commune with us. We can bring what seems big or small to Him in prayer. This Sunday, you are invited to participate in one-on-one prayer with an Elder. This provides a meaningful opportunity to connect with God and a spiritual companion, bringing your cares, worries, burdens, desires, joys, or discernment to the Lord. Prayer will be held in the Youth Room starting 10 minutes after the conclusion of the worship service.
Daily Prayer at 12PM by the People of Grace Fellowship Community Church
This week’s daily prayer for July 24 to July 30 is provided by Paul Yee from Revemilywilkes.substack.com
Holy Breath,
may we breathe together with the detained,
the disappeared, the defiant.
May we breathe together with those building sanctuary.
May we breathe together until justice is no longer a whisper,
but the very air we breathe.
Amen.
Ignatian Spiritual Exercises
Interested in praying the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises?
Do you desire to fall more deeply in love with Jesus and more fully experience the depths of His love for you? Do you long for a richer prayer life and to be grounded more deeply and consistently in Jesus in both your inner life (your relationship with Him) and outer life (what you do and how you live out your calling)? Are you wondering why so many at GFCC have journeyed through these exercises?
Karen Seth, one of our elders and a spiritual director, will be offering the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises, starting in September 2026. See the attached flyer and contact Karen at karenseth361@gmail.com for more information.

Invitation to Attend Segaiha Summer Gatherings
Tuesday, July 21-- Community, Technology and Economic Development
There will be a gathering between 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Akari food will be served. There will be entertainment, spoken word and percussion and conversations about helpfulness and we will think about how to use the power of community and technology to combat impending cuts in Medi-Cal.
Tuesday, August 4--Crafting and Fundraising
Calling all crafters! We will meet, as we met last year, and experiment with crochet, knitting and sewing as ways to embellish furoshikis (Japanese square cloths) that can be used to wrap gifts. Food will be served and there will be conversation over food and crafts. Collaboration is key, and crafting as a way to nurture relationships will be fostered.
Tuesday, August 11-- Toward Healing
Pastor Paul Conti's teaching about tabernacles and miracles and healing stories will be shared to encourage all participants. Food and stories will be shared.

Invitation: Letting the Story of Christ Become More Lived In
Each week, before or after the Sunday sermon, we are invited to return to the Scripture passage in prayer. Linger with it. Wear it like a well-worn shirt, allowing the story of Christ to become woven into the fabric of our everyday lives through the practices of Breath Prayer, Lectio & Visio Divina, and Reflection Questions. May these simple practices help us encounter Christ more deeply as we remember the God who holds us and sends us.
